New York, New York! (1)

Tiny s giant

My man and I just spent a week in New York City. We flew on the 19th of December and came back on Christmas day. What a fantastic time we had there, spending our days on our bikes visiting each and every ‘hoods we could in such a short timeframe. I loved pretty much everything about the city; its atmosphere, its character, its people and food (my goodness we ate so well!). I took a long time preparing the trip, taking notes of all shops, restaurants, walks and exhibitions worthwhile. As usual, we couldn’t do all the things we wanted but we’ll come back I’m sure… I so miss New York already…

Here under you’ll find a collection of some of my personal faves during our stay as well as some lovely addresses just in case..

freemansWe stayed at the Nolitan in Little Italy (picture 2): Great location! And a special note for their complimentary bike lending and daily cheese and wine ‘apero’ for the guests.

Cafe Gitane (3&4): a really good place that was recommended to us several times. My waffle was just amazing and the sweet retro style of the place was all charming. A must go!

Saturdays (6): Cool shop for your man! For him, push further to Dunderdon, an other cool where we came across Jake Gyllenhaal, I swear!

Shake Shack burgers (7): Delicious! What else can I say…

La Bonne Soupe: A French bistro near the MOMA. One of the few nice place to eat in the area. Make sure to taste their Croque-Monsieur, it’s seriously good!

Market Table: Great restaurant in West village that serves fine and from the market food. We both had meat served with vegetables and a warm apple pie for dessert, a delight! Take the time to look at the pictures on their website, I bet you’ll be tempted.

Eleni’s (11): In Chelsea market (which I loved!) One of those cupcakes and cookies shop you see all around the city. In case of need of a sugar fix..

Freemans (12): Our best dinner experience. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve there. A charming and delicious restaurant at the end of a tiny alley in Lower East Side. When you enter, put your name on the list and wait for your table at the bar where, we’ve been told, they serve amazing cocktails. Another must go!

Brooklyn and Williamsburg area coming up soon!

Hope you’ll enjoy. Have a great week! xoxo.
