Happy Friday lovelies!! Today I’d like to share with you the pretty jewels from Noémiah, a Canadian designer who I discovered a couple of days ago. I really love her feminine creations made with a mix of colorful and delicate feathers. Actually after wandering around her Etsy shop for almost an hour, I’m now almost willing to wear feathers from hair to toe : )

A weekend in Paris – Part 2

Mmmh sunny days are almost back here in Brussels and it is feels really good. Eleven Lovely Things will finally get the chance to try out each and every terrace Brussels can count. In the meantime I’ll leave you with the second part of my trip to Paris and some of my favorite places there… Have a great week!

Claus (2&3): Described as one of the best breakfast in Paris, the food lover I am couldn’t miss Claus. We had an amazing (yet slightly expensive) breakfast in the salon upstairs and couldn’t resist taking home a Marlette mix for financiers (tested and approved by my man) and a delicious box of tea in the fine grocery on the ground floor. A pretty good start to the day…

Serendipity: I told about this shop a couple of weeks ago (see post here). Have to say I was a little disappointed by the store itself (can’t explain why really). Still a pretty cool address to decorate your interior.

La Patisserie des Rêves (5): Some of the best pastries in the whole Paris. The Saint-Honoré we had was just a marvel! A definite must for the sweetie monsters.

Please note the picture there is not mine, I stole this one from the o-so-gourmand blog Paris Patisserie, as the picture I took myself was somehow really bad, sorry guys.

Bonton: A pretty cool store for the little ones just 2 minutes away from le Bon Marché

Eggs & Co (6): We had a delicious lunch in this cozy place in the heart of Saint Germain. Specialty is of course the egg whether it is poached, scrambled, Benedict or shirred, with truffle, cheese, bacon, vegetables (really good) or salmon. A refreshing little discovery!

Rennes is a little house of sewing based in Boston that I just discovered a couple of days ago. I instantly had a crush on their bags and pouches (pretty much on the whole collection actually). Beautiful materials and simplicity seem to be at the heart of Julia’s (the designer) creations. All you need really…

A lovely weekend in Paris

Remember last time I told you I was going to Paris for a couple of days with my mother. Well, we went and had a marvelous time there. Weather was great, food amazing and Paris still an incredible city. I compiled some of my favorite places below starting with the area around the Canal Saint Martin (a true discovery) and le Marais.

Canal Saint-Martin

Starting day 1 with a hot chocolate and delicious cookie at Ten Belles (2 & 3). I’m not a coffee addict but it is known as serving one of the best coffee in town.

Artazart Design Bookstore (4): I think we spent almost an hour in this store, looking at all their beautiful collection of design, art and photography books. Loved it!

Hotel du Nord (5): a restaurant highly recommended by my Parisian friend Zoe. Unfortunately it was a little to early in the morning for us to have dinner ; ) but both menu and atmosphere looked great!

Then heading to le Marais taking the Beaurepaire street with fashion brands such as Cotélac, les Petits Hauts, American Apparel or The Kooples.

Merci (6,7,8,9,10,11): 3 floors, 1500 square meters of home accessories, clothes and jewels from famous creators as well as bar and delicious cantine downstairs. We had a salad, a creamy risotto and an incredible crumble for lunch. Last but not least, the profits Merci makes on your purchases are donated to charities. A must!

Finally, after a productive shopping session at Virginie Castaway, Iro, Claudie Pierlot, Ba&sh and American Vintage finish the day with a glass of cider and a crepe at the famous Breizh Café (12). A delight!

Brussels Bar – Le Petit Canon

Located a minute away from Place Flagey, Le Petit Canon is a little gem of a bar, the kind of place you could stay for hours discussing with a friend or a lover, a glass of wine and a plate of cheese. With its somehow poetic atmosphere, it quickly became my favorite place for a romantic after-work with my man… Looking forward to sunny days to enjoy our rosé on the terrace!

Shop discovery – Serendipity

I’m heading to Paris tomorrow for a 2 days trip with my mum, I can’t tell you how excited I am! While I was doing my usual pre-trip homework, I felt on this lovely boutique in the heart of the left bank: Serendipity. Originally dedicated to children’s furnishing, I feel their selection of items could easily be part of any interior, adding a really cool industrial touch to it.

See by yourselves, personally I just love it!

Sorry for not posting much these past few days folks but don’t worry I’ll come back with lots of really cool content (a mini city guide of Paris maybe? : ))

Heyhey it’s Friday! Hope you have lots of plans for the weekend! But before that I’d like to introduce you to French designer Caroline Gomez. I spotted her work some time ago via Autreshop (on the blog here) and felt on her online shop today. Wood, ceramics and leather, I love the way she creates unique and creative objects with such noble materials.
