Brussels Tour – Dansaert

IMG_0378-1024x1024

Finally (after more than a year I know),  the first part of ELT’s Brussels city guide (si si si!) is out! I had the project in mind for several months now, but couldn’t find the time to actually go, test, taste and take pictures. As I realise time won’t ever be on my side I thought I could start small and slowly grow BIG. Objective is to build a map of Brussels areas, pointing to my favorite places (to be available soon here).

So a couple of weeks ago, my Converses on, my camera in hand and my mum as companion, we went for a little tour in the growing and ever-changing Dansaert neighborhood. First stops, rue du Marché au Charbon, Prive Joke one of my favorite clothes shop (with brands like Sessun or Ba&sh)  and American Vintage.

Prive Joke brusselsAfter a a couple of credit card swipes, lunch break at C’est bon, C’est belge, a typical Belgian  grocery and restaurant with only a few tables. Still can’t forget the delicious ‘poulet estragon’ we had. Other place I love for lunch or coffee is L’Arrière-Cuisine already mentioned on the blog here.

C'est bon c'est belge brusselsNow heading to rue Antoine Dansaert, for a little spending spree between Maje, Sandro, Zadig & Voltaire, Princesse tam.tam etc. Further on, stop at La Fabrika, a great design store that opened recently. I could refurbish my whole apartment with everything they have here, relatively expensive but amazing!

Finally end the day with a gigantic smoothie at APDM (note to myself: make sure to taste their famous bagels next time, the ones I saw passing by looked definitely tempting).

APDM BrusselsOf course this is not meant to be exhaustive and I’m sure I forget many cool places in the area, so please please share your favorites!

Have a nice week lovelies <3

Great list! Barbeton is definitely worth stopping into for a drink. Its owned by the same folks that run Belga on Place Flagey and has a similar vibe to it. And also try the APDM bagels! Save room for a big brunch!

Thanks Jess, glad you liked it. I’ll make sure to go to Barbeton then and try APDM’s bagels! You have a nice blog by the way 😉
