I’ve been following this brilliant project for a long time now and I really wanted to share it with you. The concept is beautiful: promoting tolerance and cultural exchange through poetry, drawing and photography. Art in All of Us is a non-for-profit organisation based in Brussels and New-York founded by Anthony Asael and Stephanie Rabemiafara. Since 2004, hundreds of volunteers have committed to inspire, educate and stimulate children around the world with the strong belief that art can help to build a better future.
On its website, Art in All of Us shares with us some artworks from its numerous journeys. I can tell you the output is as amazing as the concept. An exhibition will also take place in Brussels (@Tour et Taxis) from the 20th of October to the 5th of December and later in Antwerp (@Anvers Gare Centrale) from the 22nd of December to the 8th of May 2011. So take your agenda. I’ll be there fo sure!
You can support the project by buying pictures in digital or printed format. Personally I have the portrait of the two boys singing against a wall in Solomon Islands at home and I love it!
- Sudan, Karthoum, portrait of young girl with veil smelling a rose flower
- Solomon Islands, Guadalcanal, Honiara, portrait of a young boys with mouth open singing against wall
- Solidarity for Haiti’s children
- Two children in Guatemala ( I couldn’t find the image on the site but it was on AiA’s Facebook page)
I leave you there with these beautiful smiles for the weekend
