New York, New York!! (2)

Here is the second part of our adventures in New York (part 1 here), snapshots of a sunny day spent on our bikes wandering in NYC’s hippest boroughs Brooklyn and Williamsburg. I wish we had more time to discover this part of the city as it was great to leave Manhattan madness and explore new shores.  So we started the day from our hotel, originally we had planned to brunch at Clinton Street Baking Company (one of the best brunch in New York we’ve been told) but the waiting line got us discouraged.  We thus crossed the East River on the Williamsburg bridge (picture 2) in order to find a good place to eat in the area and start our journey.

Below are some of the pictures I took that day as well as some cool addresses. Enjoy lovelies!

We had their unbelievably delicious ‘Rothko eggs’ and pancakes with marble syrup and pears. A delight! If the line is too long, you can go to their little sister Parish Hall just a couple of streets away. It looked really cool as well.

The Wythe hotel and its restaurant Reynards (4&5): Originally we had though to maybe stay at the Wythe hotel. I know rooms are pretty and the restaurant has a good reputation.

Pilgrim Surf+Supply shop (6&7): A really cool shop for these men (slightly expensive though)

Mast Chocolate Brothers (8&9): We literally stumbled upon this shop. Inside, lots of people and an amazingly delicious smell of cacao coming right from their atelier (which is totally part of the store). Chocolate bars in a cute packaging, cookies, truffles, t-shirts, books and cakes. Loved it!

Apolis (10&11): Another cool shop for men.

Brooklyn Flea: Inside a beautiful old bank you’ll find vintage pieces, furniture and food vendors. Quite nice!

We then had to rush to reach and cross the Brooklyn bridge (1) at sunset. What an amazing view and feeling to end that day we had…
